Plot

The plot of this book started out by explaining the drug industry and the history of it. It then went in to the process of making a new drug and how the industry has not made many new, innovative drugs in the last couple years. It the talks about how much money the industry really spends on research and devolopment which is not as much as they really say. She then talks into more detail about the lack of innovative drugs in the industry. Next, she talks about drugs that are exact copies of existing drugs called "me too" drugs. Next, she talks about bribes that drug companys give the government and doctors. The next two chapters are about the marketing of the drugs. Finally she summarizes what she has uncovered and warns of a decline in drug sucess in years to come.
